Jayme Yahr, Exhibitions Director at the Kirkland Arts Center, and a Ph.D Candidate at the University of Washington, will explore America's best known works of art. From Louis Comfort Tiffany's famous lamps to Andy Warhol's mass-reproduced prints, this lecture will examine the dominant ideas and social norms of each artistic period in history, as well as why artists and their artwork become famous.
